Create your color-coded Visited States Map!
Fill in the width in pixels you want for your image (height is automatic to stay in proportion). The minimum is 80 (it looks silly any smaller) and the maximum is currently 2400.
Check off the states you've been to. Choose red for states where you've not spent much time or seen very much; amber for states where you've at least slept and seen some sights; blue for states you've spent a lot of time in or seen a fair amount of; and green for states you've spent a great deal of time in on multiple visits. Alaska and Hawaii are only included on the map if you give them a color. (Obviously you don't have to use my color-coding if you'd rather use the colors for your own purposes.)
When you submit, if all goes well, your image should appear in a new browser window. Save it to your computer by right-clicking and choosing “Save As” from the menu, or dragging it to your desktop, or choosing “Save” from the File menu, or any other means you would ordinarily use to save an image. Do not link directly to the URL of the image as it appears in your browser. I'm not made of bandwidth or storage space! The generated images are deleted after a short time.
If you use your map image on the web, I ask (but do not require) that you include a link back to the description page. That page explains the color-coding, so it's useful anyway.
